Digampathana is a vast green area that is closed to Minneria National park in the vicinity. This region is a hub for elephant herds that seek to roam and freely govern the natural landscapes reserved for the natural kingdom. The Minneria National park was declared a natural sanctuary in 1997, August 12th. Minneria Tank in this area is a famous place for elephant gatherings with more than 150 elephants seen at once.
This footage is about a healthy young tusker with a herd, these kinds of tuskers are very rare to see among Asian elephant species. They are valued as a national treasure at all times as a loss of one life is a significant blow on the very small percentage of tuskers living today.
